Pueblo court clerk accused of feeding information to inmate

A Pueblo County court clerk has been arrested after accusations she fed inside information to a suspected drug dealer.

Robin Arwood, 42, is charged with first-degree official misconduct, a misdemeanor.

Arwood’s friend’s boyfriend, Richard Crites, was arrested in November after police said he was caught with almost $12,000 worth of methamphetamine.

According to arrest records, Arwood began gathering information at the courthouse about Crites’ case and telling her friend. The friend then relayed the details to Crites during recorded jailhouse phone calls.

For example, police said Crites got a heads up that officers obtained a search warrant for his mom’s house. According to arrest records, Crites then told his girlfriend there was a “purple bag” that needed to be taken out of the home.

Arrest documents show Crites told his girlfriend Arwood would be taken care of if she went to jail “because we have people working for us.” He went on to say, “Keep Robin up in the cut. It’s always good to have someone like that.”

Arwood has no criminal history. According to her Facebook page, she’s worked for Colorado courts since 2008. She has bailed out of jail on $2,500 bond. No one answered the door when KRDO Newschannel 13 went to her home Thursday night.
