Murder victims remembered, part of suspect’s past uncovered
Faculty and students at a Wyoming community college are remembering two slain instructors as gentle and effective educators who loved life and each other.
Casper College held a memorial service Tuesday for 56-year-old James Krumm and 42-year-old Heidi Arnold.
Krumm’s 25-year-old son, Christopher Krumm, stabbed Arnold to death Friday at the home she shared with James Krumm.
The younger Krumm then went to his father’s computer science class and shot him with an arrow in front of a handful of students. Christopher Krumm then stabbed himself to death.
About 300 people attended the memorial at the college gym. One colleague remembered Arnold as the “ultimate, smart, hippie chick.” A colleague of James Krumm said he never spoke ill of his students, not even behind closed doors.
Meanwhile, police revealed Chris Krumm left Connecticut days before the murders. He told a neighbor he was upset his father gave him Asperger’s syndrome.
