Arrest made in Black Friday Target shooting

A man accused of shooting a bullet into the ceiling of a suburban Denver Target store on Black Friday has been arrested.

KMGH reports that Aurora Police held 33-year-old John Robert Pomeroy. He was being held for investigation of aggravated robbery involving a controlled substance, felony menacing, robbery and attempted homicide.

Aurora police responded to a “shots fired” call at the store Friday evening. A man wearing a black ski mask went into the pharmacy, pulled a handgun from a bag and fired one round into the ceiling. No one was injured during the shooting.

A police spokeswoman said Pomeroy was seeking drugs. He was being held on $50,000 bond.
