Power restored in downtown Colo. Springs

A power outage near the intersection of South Sierra Madre Street and West Cimarron Street on Wednesday morning left 425 customers without power for about 45 minutes.

A transformer blew on a power line in the area, and reports indicated the power lines were catching fire.

Colorado Springs Utilities crews have fixed the problem.

Utilities says the outage was in the area approximately within the area of West Cimarron Street, South Tejon Street, 16th Street, and West Kiowa Street.

Multiple traffic signals were out including the Cimarron off-ramp and the intersections of Sierra Madre and Cascade and Cimarron.
