Body found near Kim, believed to be man missing since April

The Las Animas County Sheriff’s Office tells KRDO NewsChannel 13 that a body was found near Kim on Tuesday.

Last week, ranchers in the area found a car belonging to a man who has been missing since April. The man was driving from Sunrise, AZ to Denver to visit his son but never arrived. He has not been identified.

The skeletal remains were found about 300 feet from the car. Authorities say they believe the remains are that of the missing man but a positive identification has not been made.

No foul play is suspected at this time.
