CSU-Pueblo Football Top Seed in Region

For the second straight season, CSU-Pueblo is its region top seed in the NCAA Division II Football Playoffs, the NCAA announced Sunday.

The ThunderWolves, which just concluded its second straight 11-0 regular season and claimed its second straight outright Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference championship, have been named the top seed in Super Region 4, earning a first-round bye in the playoffs. As a result, the ThunderWolves will play its first playoff game on Saturday, Nov. 24 at the Neta & Eddie DeRose ThunderBowl against the winner of four-seed Indianapolis (9-2)and five-seedMidwestern State (9-1).Kickoff will be at noon.

By virtue of the seeding, if the ThunderWolves continue winning, it will remain at home for the national quarterfinals on Dec. 1 and could possibly have a third home playoff game on Dec. 8. The national championship is Dec. 15.
