Colorado City baby seriously injured, Pueblo Sheriff’s investigate

Detectives with the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office are looking into injuries to a baby in Colorado City.

The fire department in Rye was called to the home after the family said the 5-month-old boy had fallen a couple of feet while in a bouncer and hit his head.

Firefighters decided the boy’s injuries were serious and the infant needed to be taken by helicopter to the hospital.

The child was taken to Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs.

The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office has launched an investigation at the home to determine if the family is telling the truth about how the baby was injured.
