Woman hit by bus on Denver’s 16th Street Mall

A woman is recovering from a head injury after she was hit by a shuttle bus on downtown Denver’s popular 16th Street Mall.

Scott Reed, a spokesman for the Regional Transportation District, said the woman walked in front of the shuttle at about 2:15 p.m. Saturday. She was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Denver Post reported the woman, whose name has not been released, was ticketed, but Reed could not recall the exact infraction.

RTD buses regularly transport passengers along the mall, which bisects downtown.
