Keystone, Copper Mountain open for ski season

Copper Mountain’s 40th anniversary season in the ski business is under way.

Copper Mountain and Keystone Resort both opened for the season Friday, giving skiers and snowboarders more options of where to make turns in Colorado. Arapahoe Basin and Loveland opened in October, but other Colorado ski areas have yet to start their seasons.

The Colorado ski industry is hoping to bounce back from last season, when snowfall in large parts of the state was below average.
