5 hurt in El Paso County crash

Ambulances and a medical helicopter were sent to a crash at Highway 94 and Ellicott Highway Wednesday night after state troopers say a man ran a stop sign and hit an SUV carrying four people.

Troopers said there were two teen girls in the SUV along with their mom and another female adult. They said the group was going to a Halloween event at church.

Troopers said everyone involved in the accident Is expected to be OK, although everyone was taken to Memorial Hospital, at least one person by helicopter.

The man driving the white truck that hit the SUV was most seriously hurt, and was initially unconscious. Troopers said that man would be facing driving citations, likely for running a stop sign and speeding.
