Water Quality Problems Shut Down Medical Building

Patients could not see their doctors at the Printers Park Medical Plaza, and may not be able to see them for the rest of the week.

Monday dozens of employees got sick. They reported the water they drank in the building looked and tasted strange.

The medical building is owned by NexCore. One of the tenants is a division of Memorial Hospital.

Hospital representatives say they are trying to call all their patients to move their appointments.

“We’ve relocated as many services as possible to here, our central location, and elsewhere, where we can. We are in the process of calling all of these patients,” said spokesperson Brian Newsome.

There is currently no word as to what caused the water quality issue.

The El Paso County Department of Health says it is waiting on the results of an investigation, and that the building was voluntarly closed.
