Two arrested in car vandalism in Colorado Springs

Police have arrested Candice Ramos and Randy Winter Monday morning on suspicion of vandalizing and breaking into cars on the city’s west side.

Around 2 a.m. Monday, police received calls of cars being broken into off of Monument Street and Willamette.

Dozens of cars had tires slashed, multiple more were broken into and three had fires set on the seats.

The suspects fled in a silver PT Cruiser but were spotted by police at a 7-Eleven store nearby trying to force a female into the car, according to police.

Police found box cutters, grill lighters and miscellaneous electronics in the car with them.

Police are still investigating and have not released a list of charges at this time.
