Springs Police Investigate Two Overnight Robberies

Springs police are investigating two overnight robberies that happened at convenience stores.

Officers said the 7-Eleven store near Rangewood Drive and E. Woodmen Road was robbed at around 1:15 a.m. Sunday.

Officers said a man armed with a gun walked into the store and demanded money from the clerk. He got away with cash.

Police searched the area, but did not track down the robber.

The Diamond Shamrock convenience store near Palmer Park Boulevard and N. Powers Boulevard was also robbed. It happened at around 3:30 a.m. Sunday.

Officers said the robber was armed with a hammer. He got away with cash.

Police said no one was hurt in both robberies.
