Man escapes early morning house fire

A man escaped an early morning house fire Tuesday in Ellicott.

Lt. Jeff Kramer with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, tells us the man called 911 shortly before 3 a.m. to report the blaze at a home in the 4500 block of Pipestem Avenue.

Kramer said the man and his pets were able to escape the house unharmed.

Arson investigators are on the scene trying to determine the cause of the fire.
