2 mobile homes destroyed in fires

Two mobile homes were destroyed in early morning fires Sunday east of Colorado Springs.

One of them sparked in the 5900 block of Coyote Lane in Ellicott.

Three people lived in the home, but they were not at home when the fire sparked.

The other fire happened in the 20000 block of Judge Orr Road in Peyton.

Both homes were destroyed and the Red Cross is helping those displaced find a place to stay.

Firefighters were able to get both fires under control. No one was hurt in either fire.
