Beware a possible cookie dough scam
Colorado Springs police are warning people about a possible cookie dough scam.
Police got a report about a girl dressed in a ROTC uniform who was going door to door selling cookie dough for a school fundraiser.
The girl reportedly said she was from Mitchell High School. She also said she could only take cash payments.
Police say one man, who ordered the cookie dough and gave the girl cash, went to Mitchell High School and spoke with the ROTC director. According to the man, the ROTC director said the cookie dough sales were over and they were not cash only.
The man says the order form the girl had is also not the same as the one the ROTC students were using.
Police ask you watch out for this potential scam.
