5000 Black Hills Customers in Pueblo have power restored

About 5,000 black Hills Energy customers were without power in Pueblo Thursday afternoon.

Black Hills spokesman Wes Ashton said two problems contributed to the outage that started before noon.

Power lines came down near Sprague and Bragdon, affecting about 4,000 customers, said Ashton.

Black Hill also experienced a failure of a transformer at it’s Prairie Ave. substation that is affecting about 1,000 customers, according to Ashton.

All power was restored by about 1:30 PM.
