Traffic stop ends in suicide

Colorado Springs police say a man shot and killed himself during a late night traffic stop Tuesday.

Police tell us officers attempted to pull over a stolen car shortly before 11 p.m. on Shelley Avenue.

The car pulled into a driveway and stopped, police said. When officers approached the car they found the driver alone in the car with a gunshot wound to his head. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
