Arrest warrant issued for Walmart gun thief

Colorado Springs Police have issued an arrest warrant for a man accused of stealing a shotgun from a Walmart store.

The theft happened on September 19 at the Walmart at 1575 Space Center Drive. Police say their suspect, 23-year-old Eric Parra, smashed the glass to the gun case and stole a 12-gauge shotgun.

Follow-up investigation led to an arrest warrant being issued for Parra’s arrest on Monday. Parra’s charges include 3rd degree burglary, possession of a weapon by a previous offender and criminal mischief.

Two other suspects have been identified, according to police, and detectives are determining what involvement they may have had in the burglary.

If you have any information about Parra’s whereabouts, call police at 719-444-7000.
