Water main break at Mallard Dr. & Mazatlan Cir.

Crews are working on a water main break at Mallard Dr. and Mazatlan Cir. on the south side of the Springs.

Colorado Springs Utilities says about 42 customers are without water.

Mallard Drive is closed between both entrances to Mazatlan Circle.

Utilities says it should be repaired late Friday night.

CSU says the cause is most likely from the age of the pipe.

The break was on an 8″ cast-iron pipe installed between 40-60 years ago.
