One horse dead after Pueblo traffic accident

One horse is dead after five horses were tossed from a makeshift trailer on Dillon Drive near the Pueblo Mall.

Witnesses told our crew at the scene that the vehicle carrying the trailer was slowing down at an intersection when the trailer broke apart.

One horse died at the scene. A volunteer came by with a trailer to take the other horses to Avondale.

There are traffic delays in the area on Tuesday evening and drivers are advised to avoid the area.

It is unclear if the driver will face any charges.
