Man found dead in creek identified

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office has identified a man found dead in a Colorado Springs creek last week.

69-year-old John Hamilton was found dead behind a mobile home park in the 2800 block of South Circle Drive on Thursday.

A woman discovered the body as she was walking by Fountain Creek.

Investigators say there are no obvious signs of trauma to the body and they do not believe the man was homeless.

The cause of death has still not been determined, pending test results, the Sheriff’s Office said.
