7-Eleven store robbed at gunpoint

Colorado Springs police are investigating after a man robbed a 7-Eleven store with a gun Sunday morning.

Police said a white man, dressed in a black heavy coat with a mask, entered the store on the 1700 block of Shasta Drive at about 5 a.m. Sunday.

He showed the clerk a handgun and demanded money, officials said.

The man fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash and two cartons of cigarettes, according to Colorado Springs police.

Police said no one was hurt and they are continuing to investigate.
