Police respond to armed robbery at Chief Motel

Colorado Springs police responded to an armed robbery at the Chief Motel on the 1600 block of Nevada Avenue.

It happened at about 4:20 p.m. Sunday.

Police said a man entered the motel and threatened the attendant with a hand gun. He gave the attendant an empty bag and the attendant put money in it, officials said.

The suspect fled on foot heading south of the motel, according to police. Police said they searched the area but did not find him.
