Man drives off in dealership car during test drive

Police are searching for a car that was stolen from a Colorado Springs dealership Saturday morning.

Police said the man went for a test drive at about 10:29 a.m. with an employee at Mike Shaw Buick. They stopped at the Acorn gas station on 8th Street and Cimarron. Officials said when the employee got out of the car to fill up the tank with gas, the customer drove off. They employee was not threatened or hurt, officials said.

A check of the man’s license revealed he had six felony warrants, according to police, including one for motor vehicle theft. Police did not release the name of the suspect. They said he is a 29-year-old white man.

Police said the car they are looking for is a blue 2007 Ford Mustang with dealership license plates.
