Mother of newborn has car stolen
The mother of a newborn discovers her car is missing only a month after someone broke in and stole car parts. But her biggest concern is what was inside the car.
“I have a four day old, and they stole her car seat,” car owner, Candace Tebrinke said.
She said the car was taken from the parking space in front of her home on Carmel Dr. sometime between 9pm Friday and 5am Saturday.
She said about a month ago, the same car was parked across the street, and someone took hundreds of dollars worth of car parts. This time, the car had new parts, tools in the trunk and a four day old’s car seat.
“It’s my baby’s,” Tebrinke said. “It just hearts more that they stole from my baby.”
Tebrinke filed a police report, but she hopes the public can help find it.
The vehicle is a two-door 1998 Honda Civic EX. Its two back windows are tinted, and its brake lights are also tinted.
The license plates were 198-XDE, but police say those could have been changed. If you have any information call police at (719) 444-7000.
