Suspicious RV fire outside Joshua Carrier’s home

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a suspicious fire in Colorado Springs.

A call came into authorities at 1:58 a.m. on Fridayabout a vehicle fire at 2290 Streambank Drive, a property owned by former Colorado Springs Police Officer Joshua Carrier.

Falcon and Cimarron Hills Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire. The vehicle was a 1975 Jamboree motor home.

No other structures were threatened. Arson investigators were called in and the investigation is ongoing.

Carrier is currently on trial, facing over 150 counts of child pornography and child molestation charges.

A jury in his original trial failed to reach a verdict. The District attorney’s office alleges Carrier molested boys he coached at Horace Mann Middle School when he was a volunteer wrestling coach two years ago.
