No survivors in Huerfano plane crash

Rescue crews in Huerfano County have found the crash site of an airplane that went down on Thursday.

No one survived the crash, according to a press release from the Huerfano County Sheriff’s Office.

The exact location of the wreck was not released, but it happened at an altitude of 12,400 feet, according to our news partners at the Pueblo Chieftain.

The wreck was discovered Thursday by the Colorado Civil Air Patrol.

Lt. Col. Mike Daniels of the air patrol said the aircraft may have been traveling from North Carolina.

Daniels said wreckage had been located in mountainous terrain west of Trinidad.
