I-25 ramp in Pueblo closed for the weekend

The ramp from northbound Interstate 25 to U.S. 50/State Highway 47 closed at 9 a.m. Friday morning for repaving operations, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

CDOT officials said the ramp is scheduled to reopen on Monday at 5 a.m.

While the ramp is closed, traffic can detour by exiting at 29th Street (Exit 100B), west on 29th to Elizabeth Street, and north on Elizabeth to U.S. 50.

Drivers can also exit at Eagleridge Boulevard (Exit 102), go west on Eagleridge to Elizabeth, and then south on Elizabeth to U.S. 50, according to CDOT.

The closure is part of the road and bridge improvement project at the Interstate 25/U.S. 50/State Highway 47 Interchange.

According to CDOT, work consists of removing and replacing concrete road panels, rehabilitating the bridge deck, installing new expansion joints and upgrades to the irrigation system.
