Man charged in death of ex-girlfriend in Aurora

Prosecutors are confirming that a body found in Aurora this week was that of a woman last seen Sunday and that her former boyfriend is charged in her death.

Aurora police and prosecutors say 32-year-old German Medina is charged with first-degree murder in the death of 23-year-old Bertha Garcia. His whereabouts were unknown Thursday afternoon.

Garcia’s body was found near her home Monday.

An arrest affidavit in the case is sealed.
