Armed robbery at Springs 7-Eleven

Colorado Springs Police are investigating an armed robbery at the 7-Eleven near Monterey Road and S Circle Drive.

Police tell KRDO NewsChannel 13 that a man with a handgun entered the store in the 1700 block of Shasta Drive around 11:40 a.m. Thursday. Witnesses may have seen where the suspect fled and officers are investigating.

This is the second time this Colorado Springs 7-Eleven store was robbed this week. Police don’t think the same person robbed the store twice.

There was also another armed robbery at the 7-Eleven near Hancock Expressway and Delta Drive on Monday afternoon. Scanner traffic indicates that police believe that suspect may be the same man who robbed the 7-Eleven on Shasta Drive Thursday.

That man was described as a 6’3″ stocky black man in his mid-twenties.
