Grass fire contained on Fort Carson

Firefighters have fully contained a grass fire on Fort Carson on Tuesday morning.

The fire started around 9:30 a.m. and burned only grass in training areas one and two.

By noon on Tuesday, crews had the fire 100% contained. No structures or vehicles were damaged.

The Fort Carson Fire department is assisted by the Colorado Springs Fire Department and the Cheyenne Mountain Air Station Fire Department.
