Pole dancing class offered to kids

A fitness studio in Canada is now offering a pole dancing class for kids.

Twisted Grip Dance and Fitness offers the pole dancing class for children. The class is called “Little Spinners.” And although kids as young as 5 learn moves similar to an adults class, studio owner Kristy Craig says “Little Spinners” is about exercise, not sex.

So far, there are four kids enrolled in the class, three girls and one boy. They reportedly range in age from 5 to 12.

Last year, a British gym came under fire after it posted photos on Facebook of a girls’ pole dancing class.

It’s worth noting that pole dancing is beginning to be recognized as a sport worldwide. Children as young as seven were cleared to compete in the upcoming National Pole Dancing Championships in Russia.
