Husband, wife shot to death near Glenwood Springs

Authorities say a husband and wife have been shot to death south of Glenwood Springs.

Eagle County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Jessie Mosher tells the Glenwood Springs Post Independent that the shootings occurred shortly before noon Saturday.

Authorities declined to say who fired the shots but stressed that there was no continuing threat in the Missouri Heights subdivision outside El Jebel.

The two were found outside a home. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while the man died after being rushed to a hospital.

No names or other details were immediately available.
