Seven trespassers found on Flying W Ranch

Colorado Springs police arrested seven people for trespassing onto the Flying W Ranch.

The ranch has been closed since the Waldo Canyon Fire destroyed much of the property in July. The fire killed two people and destroyed 346 homes in Colorado Springs. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Saturday afternoon, around 2:40, officers assigned to Waldo Canyon Wildfire Security came across seven individuals on Flying W property.

Police did not say if they were trying to take any items or if they were just walking on the property. They were cited and released according to police.

Police stress that they will continue to closely monitor activity in the Mountain Shadows area that was destroyed by the fire.
