Criminal charges for Widefield high school teen accused of exposing himself

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office has filed criminal charges against a Widefield High School sophomore accused of exposing his genitals to three elementary school girls.

Late Friday, the 15-year-old was charged with three counts of indecent exposure and three counts of harassment. His name will not be released because he’s a minor.

District 3 spokesperson James Drew said the incident happened Thursday on high school property where the elementary girls were having gym class.

“The (high school) student is not in school, and we have taken appropriate disciplinary action,” said Drew. “Depending on what we hear about the results of the investigation, further disciplinary action will be taken.”

Sheriff’s investigators said one or all of the three 10-year-old girls told a teacher about what happened.
