Natural gas leak at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo has been clamped

Firefighters and utility crews have clamped a 3-inch natural gas line at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo that ruptured Friday morning.

The area was evacuated and the road to the zoo was closed for a short time. It is back open.

It is not known how the line broke, but scanner traffic indicates it was near the elephant exhibit.
