Springs police investigate assault

Colorado Springs police are investigating an assault on E. Boulder Street that sent one person to the hospital.

Police say a man was assaulted shortly after 2:30 Tuesday morning by two men in an early 2000’s model white, Ford F 150 crew cab truck. The assault happened on E. Boulder Street near Sunset Road.

The suspects are described as a black man, about 6’5 weighing about 250 pounds and another black man about 5’10, weighing about 130 pounds with long black hair.

The man was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.

He is expected to recover.
