Electric service interruptions Tuesday for Waldo fire repairs

On Tuesday, August 28, Colorado Springs Utilities will repair an electric line in Ute Pass that was damaged during the Waldo Canyon Fire.

The work requires electric service to Green Mountain Falls, Cascade and Chipita Park to be shut off from 2 to 4 p.m.

Crews will be working in the mountains and rough terrain to replace insulators, wires and other equipment damaged during the fire. Utilities say that the repairs will help maintain the safe and reliable delivery of electric service to customers in the Ute Pass area.
