Search crews find missing Douglas County bikers

Douglas County search and rescue crews have found four lost bicyclists.

The four people went missing around 7:00 p.m. Wednesday. Search crews began their search around midnight. As of 2:00 p.m. Thursday, crews were able to reach the group. Their conditions are currently unknown.

The missing bikers were a 40-year-old man, a 59-year-old woman, a 50-year-old woman and an 11-year-old boy. There was also a dog with the group.

The group went missing west of Palmer Lake. El Paso County crews also assisted in the search. They requested the assistance of a helicopter from Buckley Air Force Base.
