Oklahoma school bans Michigan gear?

A 5-year-old boy was recently forced to turn his shirt inside out at an Oklahoma school for wearing a University of Michigan t-shirt. That’s because Oklahoma City Public schools only allow in-state college apparel to be worn.

The district says the dress code was created in 2005 with the help of an Anti-Gang Task Force.

They’re now reviewing this policy.

The boy’s mother is outraged.

“He said they made him turn it inside out because it said Michigan. He was a little embarrassed,” said Shannon Barton.

Barton says for now her son understands he will have to reserve his Wolverine pride for weekends.
