Couple dies from injuries in car crash

Two people involved in a car accident last week have died of their injuries.

Police say that 67-year-old Teddy Allison and 71-year-old Mary Ann Allison were involved in a crash on Sawyer Way and Murray Blvd on August 12th.

Investigators say that 18-year-old Khalil Sanders was traveling westbound on Sawyer Way and entered the intersection of Sawyer and Murray without stopping, striking the Allison’s vehicle. Sawyer Way is an eastbound one-way street.

Charges against Sanders, if any, will be determined at the completion of the investigation, according to police. Police tell us that Sanders is a Private 1st Class, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division on Fort Carson.

These deaths represent the 15th and 16th traffic fatalities this year in Colorado Springs.
