Attempted burglary suspects arrested in Pueblo West

Two men suspected of trying to breaking into a truck in Pueblo West have been arrested.

32-year-old Christopher Martinez and 49-year-old Jon Bragg were arrested Tuesday in the early morning hours.

A Pueblo County Sheriff’s Deputy was performing business checks when he witnessed the two men possibly breaking into a truck in the 800 block of E Industrial.

As the deputy approached the men, Martinez fled the scene and was apprehended by another deputy a few blocks away. The deputy was able to arrest Bragg as he was trying to leave in a vehicle.

While investigating the scene the suspects were found to be in possession of burglary tools and other stolen property. The owner of the box truck is assisting with prosecution.

Both men are currently being held in the Pueblo County Jail on charges of 1st degree trespassing, possession of a schedule II controlled substance, possession of burglary tools, and criminal attempt to commit theft.
