Two Will Vie To Be Next Trinindad Mayor

According to our partners at the Pueblo Chieftain, City Councilman Joe Bonato and Councilwoman Bernadette Baca-Gonzales have qualified as the only two replacement candidates for former Mayor John Rino’s job.

Rino resigned from his position as mayor last week citing an active recall election against him and negativity from the local media as his primary reasons.

The two replacement candidates will be involved a special election scheduled for Sept. 18th.
