Home invasion suspect on the run

Colorado Springs police are looking for a man who broke into a home and held a knife to a woman’s neck.

It happened Friday night around 9:40 in the 2600 block of E. Serendipity Circle.

Police say a man crawled under a partially open garage door and walked into the house. Once inside, police say the man grabbed a woman around the neck and held two knives to her back. Police say he demanded money and prescription drugs.

Police say two other people were also in the home, but were able to escape and call police. One of those people, police say, gave the suspect some money. That’s when the suspect left.

Police say the man is white, around 20-25 years old, between 5’8″ and 5’10”, about 150 pounds with a thin build. They say he has black medium length straight hair and was wearing a dark grey hooded sweatshirt and dark brown shorts.

Police say he was carrying a 5″ to 6″ hunting style knife and an 8″ kitchen knife.

If you have any information, call police at 719-444-7000 or Crime Stoppers at 719-634-STOP.
