San Luis Valley Regional Medical Center patients being warned

Some patients who were treated at the San Luis Valley Regional Medical Center in Alamosa are being warned they may have been exposed to hepatitis or HIV.

KRDO NewsChannel 13 has confirmed that the hospital has contacted 64 patients and advised them to be tested for HIV and hepatitis after they were treated with medical equipment that may not have been properly sterilized.

The equipment was used during colonoscopy procedures.
