Woman sexually assaulted in the Springs

Colorado Springs police say a woman reported an early morning sexual assault Wednesday.

Police say a woman arrived at Penrose Main shortly after 2:30 a.m. and reported the assault. She told police she was house sitting a home on Tunblewood Grove when she heard a knock on the door. When she answered the door, a man forced his way inside, sexually assaulted her and stole some items before fleeing.

The man is described as a black man, 5’7 to 5’8 inches tall, 160-170 pounds in his mid 20’s. Police say he was wearing a black t-shirt, dark blue jeans and a stud type earring in his right ear. He had short black hair, a gap in his teeth with possible acne scars.
