Fire near Boulder not expected to pose problems

BOULDER, Colo. (AP) – Authorities say a small fire reported in Fourmile Canyon near Boulder is not expected to pose any problems.

The Daily Camera (http://bit.ly/RKSHd2 ) reports the fire, which is believed to have been caused by lightning, was first reported at about 7 p.m. Saturday. Sgt. Lance Enholm with the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office says crews hiked to the area and reported flames only about 3 inches high.

In September 2010, a fire in the canyon destroyed 169 homes.
