Car hits house and other cars

A car hits a house and several cars Tuesday morning on Topsail Drive.

It happened in the 3900 block of Topsail Dr. That’s off Rangewood, between Dublin and Vickers.

Colorado Springs Police tell us they received a number of calls around 1:00 Tuesday morning.

When officers arrived, they say they found six vehicles damaged and one home with structural damage. Springs Fire Heavy Rescue crews had to shore up the home to make it safe to temporarily live in.

The home owner Brian McQuary described the scene to KRDO, “he hit the front of the van into the yard, hit the fire plug on the way in. My truck was up (on the driveway), hit my truck, hit the garage, hit my wife’s car and knocked it into the kitchen, (which) hit our fridge.”

Neighbors said he attempted to drive away after crashing into the home, that is when he crashed into multiple cars and yards.

Police say 36-year-old Ciro Delagarza lost control of his white 2000 Ford F250 King Cab Diesel pickup truck while heading home.

Police arrested Delagarza on suspicion of DUI and speeding.

No one was hurt.
