Homeless Man Suspected In Stabbing

Colorado Springs police are searching for a homeless man accused of stabbing a man.

Police said the 49-year-old victim was in Colorado Springs visiting his sister from Massachusetts. He met the homeless man at 7-Eleven on Fillmore Street and Hancock Avenue and offered to let him stay at his sister’s house.

Investigators said the two men drank and got into an argument early Sunday morning. The victim asked the homeless man to leave and the two got into a physical fight. Officials said the homeless man stabbed the victim in the chest.

Officials said the wound was superficial and the victim was treated and released from the hospital. The suspect is described as a white man, tall with long gray/brown hair wearing small framed glasses. He left on a bicycle pulling a small trailer with many pots and metal items in it. If you have any information call police at 444-7000.
